Totally agree with you Omar, I originally had the OcUK Tech Labs KRAKEN Custom Radeon R9 270X Gaming Edition OC Watercooled Graphics Card as my entry... Which of course is an OcUK exclusive, unless Rich would like to explain why it's excluded from the list? It's not available anywhere else! :p

The software customisation is the only thing which makes the DEVIL an exclusive as the card itself is available elsewhere. The question specified the card? I'm pretty sure Powercolor would send you the customisations if you asked (and were not an OcUK customer)! ;)

Regarding the 8 pack question - the vast majority of his latest submissions (and WR's) are with the Antec High Current Pro 1200W, which isn't available from OcUK. So although 8 packs favourite PSU is an Antec, they're not exclusive to OcUK like Super Flower are! He must like them though - as they're now used in his Polaris and Supernova system range! ;)

Congratulations to waso_dude, I'm not moaning about not winning! I guess I'm just moaning about the lack of clarity (and 'margin of error') with the question wording but would be nice to hear some opinions on the 270X quandry as in my opinion both are answers. Pretty sure you could OC the core higher with the Kraken! :)

I could have put money on a post like that...

the competition had some vague questions in it. this was done on purpose.

nearly every forum competition ever posted on here has questions no more difficult than 'what is the colour of our forums' or something equally as pointless.

it was nice to see forum members have an interest in a competition. others just seem a little bit 'meh' when the answers are too easy.

the question had one answer and all 5 questions were designed to make you either look around for the answers or just be active on the forums to know the answers.

the powercolor was exclusive to OcUK. perhaps it could have been more clear.

but the fact that numerous people got it right means that it cant have been that vague.
 
Dammit, got all of the questions right bar the last one. Put the KRAKEN custom card. I wish I had seen the comp a little earlier than 11ish this morning and was at a computer. Browsing lots of tabs on a phone isn't the easiest thing to do ;)

But congrats to waso_dude, not gona lie I'm pretty jealous :)
 
Ahh well.. I originally thought the powercolour, but ruled it out since it could be bought elsewhere, didn't even think about the software package..
 
congrats to the winner...i think the gfx card question was a bit miss leading as none of them were ocuk exclusives and i went through all of gibbos posts and found nothing about the power color devil

I wasn't moaning specifically about losing Rich, you'll see in my entry I had first selected the Kraken custom cooled card and then went into depth about the Powercolor. I guess I was moaning about the fact there was in theory 2 correct answers!

The fact the Powercolor was an exclusive is understandable, I wouldn't expect an OEM like Powercolor (or any other major OEM for that matter) to produce a card exclusively for a supplier. I expect many other cards are 'exclusive' in this manner as OcUK are amazing about sourcing stock - when others fall short! The buying power of the OcUK brand! ;)

The current exclusivity of the card comes from the software package, rather than the card itself. The question was worded in the present tense ('Which card boasts') rather than the past tense when the card had exclusivity ('What card boasted').

I still stand by my original query (understand if you don't feel like answering or wasting any more time on this!) about why the Powercolor is the correct answer and not the Kraken fitted custom cooled card. I'm pretty sure no other supplier offers the 270X card with a pre-fitted custom cooler (meaning it is a current OcUK 'exclusive' rather than a past one)?

I umm'd and ahh'd about the Devil and finally went with the Kraken :( Damnit! :p
