Win free Grolsch!

Won but having some trouble finding a place that will accept it.

Tried to cash in on my 4 free Grolsch tonight and they had no idea what the promotion was and needed a paper voucher so they can send it off. I tried explaining that it says you have to use a paypoint machine but they just wouldn't have it.

It gives you a few chances to get the text sent, you (and i on the first try) just missed the window of opportunity that's all.

How do you think this works?
How could it possibly know i am texting whilst even watching the video at that point in time?
Internet videso and text messages are two completely separate networks.

The only way I see is the number you text is unique to that video session. That's why the video eventually times out if you don't text in time.

Same here. I just gave up after trying a couple of shops.

All three of us in this house won eventually after trying for a few days.

Managed to redeem the vouchers at Co-op, though we had to pay 8p on each four cans. Slightly annoying as not free, though can hardly complain.

Same here. I just gave up after trying a couple of shops.

I spoke to their customer services yesterday (in a phone call that probably cost more than the beers themselves).

The promotion is actually between Grolsh and Paypoint and any shop which has PayPoint and has an licence to sell alcohol is contractually obliged to take the voucher. Paypoint have sent every shop letters two or three times to remind them of this, but some shops haven't bothered reading them apparently.

The guy who is in charge of the promotion called up the 3 shops that refused to take them to remind them that they must. He also confirmed that even if they don't have a pack of 4 cans, but 4 singles, this is ok.

I've found that most shops are almost too suspicious about it all and therefore just refused flat out to take the voucher. Co-Ops are meant to be quite good at taking them, but the smaller PayPoint shops are not so good.
