Well... after a poor go at this all I can say is there is a winner and a couple of runners up!

With that in mind congratulations to topdog555 for coming in first.

Please send an email to myself (beow) providing your name and address to have the prizxes shipped.

[email protected]

Thanks again

Well done topdog555!!

Also, thanks to everyone who took part.

Do feel free to let us know what sort of competitions you would like us to run on the forum for you, we don't want you getting bored and we don't want to put you off getting involved so any constructive suggestions would be appreciated :D

Well basically next time,

1) stick to the same hardware choice for the first test as the last, this will make it more fair as different tests favour different setups, so you cant just pick the best setup for a particular task.

2) results to be private, so it encourages the user to do their best as they wont know what to expect from other users.

3) more tests, AMD have an advantage at underclocking/ intel do better usually at overclocking, if you add other tests to produce say - the best result in a CPU intensive task, then a [email protected] may not be as good as a i5 2500K@5GHz and so on.

Email sent, grats to the winner. The fact that I was a runner up through only posting a 3dmark score says quite a lot about how this competition went though :(
I don't understand why the sudden drop in intrest between the first version of this and this time around, nothing changed. Still, here's to more competitions in the future!

Also, make sure any future competitions involve facebook to give me an even better chance of winning :D

Many thanks to OcUK and Gigabyte for running this competition, it's nice to win for a change

I dont know the reason why so little entered this contest with such good prizes but well done to all that entered
