That's a bit rubbish. I was planning on installing 64-bit on my PC, and then I was going to fix up my laptop (hard drive is dying, and I'm going to clean out all the dust), and install 32-bit on it (because it doesn't have 64-bit hardware).
Why is it rubbish? It's always been like that. You can still find £45 Win 7 Home Premium (unless it's sold out now, but still in stock 5 minutes ago) which I think it's cheap enough for the 2nd PC/laptop.
