win7 install help

hi guys

got my new gear set up, but having a hard time installing win 7
it doesnt recognise my sata drive n says all the drivers on the gigabyte cd arent compatable with my hardware... i have no idea what to do
but the hard drive is recognised in the bios

Hi

Tell us which motherboard you have and which ports on the motherboard you're plugging in the hard drive and dvd drive -some boards have two different sets of SATA ports

In the BIOS, set the SATA mode to AHCI

hard drive is in sata3_0 dvd drive is in IDE slot

might take a while for replies while testing stuu, win7 install seems to take a while to load lol

oh n motherboard is GA-890GPA-UD3H (rev. 2.1)

I've never used that board, but fiddle with this screen..

The IDE setting is probably key here, try IDE and AHCI,

Reboot then go back into the bios, should be able to get it to show up on this screen..
