Well its not really an issue more of an annoyance. I have wacom bamboo pen and touch. It works perfectly in win7 however when i press down with the pen windows plays this stupid ring animation around where ive pressed.

I knew how to get rid of it in vista but for the life on me i cant find the option to turn it off. Its very very annoying when using PS and doing mulitple strokes and this ring animation keeps playing!

heres a pic

any ideas of how to get rid of it?!

You have to turn off the Tablet PC Input Service in services.msc

Unfortunately it means you lose the built in handwriting recognition options.

[Edit] A quick google seems to indicate that turning off Press and Hold in the Pen and Touch settings may also fix it, but I have no pen and touch device on this computer at home, so I can't check that for you.

disabling tablet pc input service did the job cheers!

I've found a much much cleaner fix that doesn't break functionality now. :)

Open up the Local Group Policy Editor (Start > gpedit.msc)

Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Tablet PC > Cursors

Double click on "Turn off pen feedback" and set it to Enabled.

This should take effect immediately, and doesn't disable the handwriting features etc.
