Yeah, I'm not much of a WMP fan as I've long had issues. I've never had much of a problem with QT so long as I have the codecs. VLC includes most every codec I ever use so it's what i like best. It makes it extra nice that i can get ot for most every desktop OS of which I can conceive.

VLC is possibly the worst program I have ever come across in my entire life.

At least for movies, I never thought of trying it for music.

XMMS is a bit rubbish but it's as close as you're going to get to the Winamp way of doing things.

What processor do you have, Stuppy? I could have a go at compiling XMMS for you if you've got a G3, G4 or G5. Someone else'll have to give it a go if you've got an Intel.

It doesnt sound as though youre in a very good position to be that picky. Audion sounds like a decent piece of software and I doubt it would use too many resources or run particulerly slowy even if it is PPC.

Download it, take a look and make a decision based on what you see rather than what you presume, you might be surprised...
