Not really the right section but someone here might know.

If you've got something that weighs 1000kg and you want to pull it up a 30 degree slope with an electric winch, what kind of spec winch would you need?
 
Rolling (it has wheels on it), a lip of the trailer door is the only real obsticle.
 
Trailer door? What is it you'll doing with the winch?

Need to know the actual use to be sure of pointing you in the right direction.
 
To pull one of those wood mincers up onto the trailer, the door drops down to make a ramp to the floor of the trailer but theres a slight lip to get over.
 
Ive done the maths, and the force down the slope due to the mass of the onbject will be 154.25kg (1542.5N) (1000kg x cos 30)

Add that to whatever force is required to push it accross a level surface and that is you bare minimum force.

Health warning: when I say bare minimum I mean it. Add atleast 25% on top of this or you are asking for disaster!

How much force does it require to push the wood mincer along level (hard) surface? Are you FULL force, as for a 'normal' grown man that will be about 2500N.

1hp (motor specs) = 750Watts

force = energy / distance

Works through as 750 Newtons drag force (roughly enough to lift a 14 stone man vertically up). I think you need more, but I might be wrong (anybody good at forces want to check my sums?)

Put your calculator into degrees mode and try again.

You just calculated it for a slope of 30 radians. And I think you should be using sine, not cosine.

This is correct, I think...

Calculator in Degrees mode, not radians, not gradient.

An easy way to figure out if you want sin or cos - if the angle were 0 degrees - then the extra force required will be 0, hence you should be using sin.
Sin 30 = 0.5 :D
