Ive done the maths, and the force down the slope due to the mass of the onbject will be 154.25kg (1542.5N) (1000kg x cos 30)
Add that to whatever force is required to push it accross a level surface and that is you bare minimum force.
Health warning: when I say bare minimum I mean it. Add atleast 25% on top of this or you are asking for disaster!
FluffySheep
got something that weighs 1000kg
Thanks, so this would be ok? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....m=160172005604&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=006
From auction.
Rated line pull 2000lb(906kg)
**** UP ALERT!
Put your calculator into degrees mode and try again.
You just calculated it for a slope of 30 radians. And I think you should be using sine, not cosine.
