Window cleaning pole

I'm after a decent extendable pole for cleaning windows, Amazon are full of Chinese branded models with mixed reviews, any recommendations?

I have a Brodex Alligator, not too expensive and seems ok.
Used it quite a few times for the windows and solar panels.

How long is your pole ( ) and do you need to grab a ladder to do the solar panels?

jesus, people really have lost the ability to shop for themselves. it's a pole for attaching a squeegee too - pick whatever takes your fancy. you don't need a spec me thread for this dude!!

Unger brand is the best, I still have one from almost 20 years ago and works as well as the day i first got it

It’s all about long reach water fed poles which use deionised water for a zero water spot finish these days.

These poles can be fully carbon fibre and cost hundreds.

i'll stick with whatever brand of pole i bought out of b&q years ago. i don't needs me none of the fancy smancy nonsense

Can you recommend any books on how to offer advice and get along with people.

Just asking for a friend, who prefers recommendations, rather than buying blind with sometimes fake reviews.

How long is your pole ( ) and do you need to grab a ladder to do the solar panels?

I think its about 8meters.

I can stand on a step ladder on a flat bit of roof (sounds so safe...) otherwise yes, would need a ladder.

Thanks, I need to get something to do our panels and I don't fancy paying a window cleaner to do it, the rod would pay for itself after a few goes and it will also do the windows.

I have a ladder so I'll keep it sensible in terms of length.

Cool story I was a bit vague, I'm after a water fed pole similar to what a window cleaner would use, as I said Amazon and the likes are full of non branded Chinese rubbish and lessons learnt from the past I don't imagine paying much more for a branded commercial item but I'm not an expert in this field so I don't have a clue what is a go to brand for this industry.

Unless you live in a very soft water area you probably need something to deionise the water on demand. These easiest (not cheapest) way to do this is to use a resin filter.

Don’t buy aluminium or fibre glass poles as they’re very heavy and bendy. At the consumer level, try and get a hybrid pole which is a mix of carbon and fibre glass. Otherwise, it’s carbon fibre all the way with the requisite price tags. Remember the brush and pole hose, along with the necessary connectors, pump and water filtration system…
