the other night.. just before a massive thunder storm my window got stuck down so i gave it a slight pull whilst holding the button down ... it worked... but then as the window came up more and more.. i realised something was rather broken...
luckily got it home and managed to put the window in place so that its jammed up untill i can get it repaired...just before the storm kicked off!

what do you think? any suggestions about what has happened? As we moved the glass we heard things falling inside the door.

Looks/sounds like its come off the rails.

Whip the doorcard off and you will find the problem, usually the plastic lugs that hold everything together either get dislodged, or snap.
 
yeh thats what me and my dad were thinking... anyone have any idea how you take the doorcard off a fiesta 97?

If its anything like my mondeo try looking for screws around edge of door and behind the door handle, as well as in the little handhold on the door card. But dont go trusting me on that :D try to find a proper guide.

Yeah, usually around the edges on Ford stuff. Really bloody useful when the central locking dies and you can't get the door skins off!

Yup, i sold my cousins mondy estate for him last year after some MOT work. He'd deadlocked it and then something went pop. Sold the car with 3 working doors :D
