Window/oven scrapers

Should any of these lock the blade position? None of mine seem to. When in use, the blade gets pushed back in and I have to keep pressing the button to try and keep the blade pushed out. Also, the one on the right, the silver one, I slide the blade in sideways but it doesn't seem to hold the blade, it's loose and eventually slides out.

In the past I have just snipped off the plastic safety bar on a standard gents single blade razor.

Great for cleaning oven glass.

I bought that rolson pack of scrapers and they went in the bin within the hour. Absolute garbage. The scrapers where the blade is fixed in position are far superior than the retractable type.

How do you fit the blade? I slide mine in but can't find a way to properly secure it.

I use this for taking stickers off windows, taking gaskets off etc for cars, I presume it can do the same as you need?

the blade is held in with a screw and is very secure

I just use theese cheap basic ones at work. Never had problems with the blades falling out.

As a painter and decorator, when doing external walls we just tape up the frame and clean the glass after were done. Cheap as chips but does what you need.

I've got the Stanley one above. Works really well and the blade stays put when using it.
