Window Tints

This thread is entertaining to say the least!

But seriously the place you went to probably ripped you off. Get a refund if you can, and save for a nicer car to mod.

It was only a matter of time before the 'leave him alone' brigade came rolling in. Yes it's his money but I can say what I want, thats the beauty of freedom of speech. He's turned a respectable but slightly rubbish car into a totally loltastic abortion with a universal backbox which will sound like utter fail because the car is a diesel, the wheels are Halfords specials probably with ling long tires and the tints top it all off.

I myself drive a slightly rubbish car but instead of wasting it on exhaust a large family of rats could live in and drug dealer tints, i'm actually going to use my money to buy a better car.

Most of it seems light-hearted enough..

But the opening gambit by someone of

"I bet you look a **** driving that",

Followed up with

"I bet your knuckles drag along the ground"

Can't be construed as anything less then getting too personal..

It seems odd that when some clear OTT belittling and bullying come about that people seem to advocate it as being good by putting a negative emphasis of anyone just letting these people be..

I'm awaiting the "I'm entitled to my opinion" comments when actually they haven't expressed an opinion at all..

:)

Although I do totally agree that the Zorst/Alloys and to an extent the tints do make it look stereotypical barryboy and not what i like in the slightest. :p

You really do come across as a bit of a wierdo Demon how have I not expressed an opinion? Do you think that when I describe a Corsa driver as 'looking like a ****' when driving it I'm telling a story?

I really meant you offered no opinion of the 'car', other then in a round about blatantly personal derogatory comment about the driver

"I bet you look like a ****" and " I'd also comment on the fact your knuckles are dragging"

When it comes to being a weirdo, well, that clearly is an extremely relative term, on here, yes, I do stand out as being someone that has an open mind, who likes to "live and let live".. however in the general wider sense of society, no, having a personal pop at someone you don't know just because they put some alloys/exhaust on a car you don't like would be construed as weird..

:)

What is there to say about it? It's a heap of crap that only people who know nothing about cars buy because they don't know any better. I even pointed that out to him when he made a thread about buying it - after he'd said he wouldn't get another Corsa. They guy is weird "HI GUYS SPEC ME A CAR PLEASE" que massive thread this vs that then and we constantly poke that he doesn’t know what he's talking about and his old Corsa with huge exhaust and alloys as an example, then turns around and gets a 1.7CDTi for 7 grand, great. So I haven't just had a pop at him out of the blue nor am I repeating old comments all those mods were new to here and I felt my opinion should be know. “bet you look like a **** in that” = that car is a pile of **** and everyone knows it.

And what exactly is wrong with ling long tyres? I believe they conform to regulations and are fit for purpose...He might not drive like a ****, so wont need high performances tyres to help him stay alive...

Spoken like a true ling long customer - it's great you've saved £20 isn't it? But you have to take corners slower then everyone else especially when it's wet and good luck with the emergency stops.

7 grand? God help you as a car salesman :p

Yes I know it's crap as a car but so what :D

What is the 1.7 engine like on fuel? Is it a common rail or mechanical? I've seen a few on autotrader and they always seem 500-600 quid cheaper than the same age 1.3 derv.

It's Common Rail...

I get around 49mpg with town/A-Road/Motorway driving. That is with the Tuning Box on setting 3 :p

On setting 5 fuel economy is worse @ 37mpg

I find even though the 1.3 is a newer engine the 1.7 may be more industrial but better to drive.

Not much to say to that, that is exactly the attitude I thought you had when posting, I don't agree with it, lets leave it at that.. :)

At the OP, IMO, I hope the bubbles do go completely, because I just find they make a car look cheap and tacky with poorly tinted windows, I'd get them re-done somewhere better if that turns out to be the case.

When you crashed the last one you said "I won't get another Corsa" then you went and got a 1.7 diesel. :/

Putting a big bore exhaust on a diesel does nothing for sound or performance, in fact it makes both worse! I know, a friend fitted a big can to his 306 DTurbo for the fun of it.

The car is horrible to me, it just looks so bad...it was half decent looking when you bought it, but now... :(

I keep saying the big bore exhaust it doesn't make much noise...

But do these people want to believe that? NO THEY DONT

If it was a petrol then I guess it would be loud...
