Windows 10 Anniversary Update

Everything up to and not including the latest KB3197954 patch kept on making my system unreliable (new install from ISO).

I have installed the latest cumulative patch KB3197954 through Windows Update and my system has become more reliable - Steam does not crash when I click install to install games. Other apps install without problem too. And Explorer does not crash as it did.

Touch wood.

This (KB319795) won't install through automatic update for me. Sits there with "restart required". Trying now from catalog download. Sat there for 1/2 hour so far on about 2% installing. Waiting. . . .

Finally installed after about 45 mins. After a restart this unblocked 2 further updates 3199986 and 3201860. Seems to be getting more iffy on my Lenovo Yoga each month!

I can't watch Netflix with Windows 10 anniversary. It doesn't matter which web browser I use or which graphics driver I install (even using DDU), it's an instant BSOD as soon as media starts to play. Even the windows store app causes a BSOD!

It appears to be a conflict with some junk in W10AE conflicting with audio sent via HDMI for NVidia cards. I need that feature for my connected plasma, there doesn't seem to be any fix available.

I've installed an SSD into my fathers laptop to give it a new lease of life,

Installed windows 10, boots in desktop in 10-15 seconds

then

Installed the anniversary update, as it does this automatically and now the boot
takes close to 2 minutes now, I see the windows logo, the circular spinning animation then onto a blank screen for 2 minutes before it zooms onto the desktop

I've tried all the suggestions from google and still no luck, anyone have an idea?

The older 5400rpm laptop drive I removed booted slightly quicker than this SSD :S

Some older versions of Acronis True image cause a slow boot?

possible corrupt install. download media creation tool from microsoft and reinstall. that way none of the massive version updates.
