I have a 3440x1440 monitor as my Primary screen (monitor 1) and a 4k UHD OLED TV as monitor 2.

As they are different resolutions, I would like a slideshow of one set of 3440x1440 images on monitor 1 and another set of UHD images on monitor 2.

However, I can't find a simple way to do this

Johns Background Switcher doesn't currently let you do this

Neither does this command: control /name Microsoft.Personalization /page pageWallpaper

Any ideas? You would think somebody might have cracked this really.

I've used DisplayFusion for years and loved it:
https://www.displayfusion.com/

Does exactly what you want to have slideshows for each screen picked from a different folder.

Recently though, I tried to cut down on the amount of software I have running in the background/at startup. I have my screens arranged with 3 across the bottom and one at top - so my desktop resolution is 5760x1080 with a 1920x1080 above the centre of this screen. I created blank 5760x2196 picture files and pasted in a 5760x1080 image across the bottom, and put a 1920x1080 in the top middle, and left the top left and right blank. Put a load of these picture files into a folder, and just set Windows to do a slideshow from this folder, works perfectly. :)
