Hi. i am coming from OSX to Windows 10 and on OSX, when you have multi monitors connected, you could scroll through different desktops on each monitor.

ie on monitor one i have two desktops:
  1. chrome full screen
  2. photoshop full screen
On Monitor two i could have another two:
  1. lightroom full screen
  2. Evernote full screen
In Osx, if my cursor is on monitor 1, i can scroll through chrome and photoshop desktops while monitor two stays how it is.

However, in Windows it kind of treats the above like this:

  1. Chrome full screen > arranged in monitor 1
  2. Photoshop full screen > arranged in monitor 1
  3. Lightroom Full screen > arranged in monitor 2
  4. Evernote full screen > arranged in monitor 2
so if my cursor is on monitor 1, and i scroll from chrome to photoshop, the 2nd monitor would also scroll to the next screen ie Evernote.

Is there a way to mimic the same behaviour as OSX?

Not as far as I've found, and it's driving me potty. I'm trying to use a Windows machine for a couple of weeks, and this is function I really miss.

Windows so almost hit the jackpot on multi desktop. but didnt quite. There was 3rd party paid software last i looked. It took until windows 8 for decent multi screen support and i think win10 for multiple desktop so...

If you hit windows key + Tab and at the top left there is a button "add desktop" you can then have multiple desktops on different screens. Is this what you are looking for?

To add to that windows key + ctrl + D adds a desktop, you can then navigate between desktops with windows key + ctrl + left/right keys.

It's not so much the multiple desktops, it's how it's implemented that bothers me. If I add an additional desktop it's rooted on both screens. If I swipe to the next desktop then BOTH monitors change. Personally that irritates the hell out of me. In MacOS they're independent of each other.

This!

I see, I'll have a play tomorrow when i'll have 4 screens connected. Never really used it tbh.

Edit: There is a bit of software I use at work to allow dual screen sessions over rdp outside of the /span launch option in windows 10 pro (the proper implementation of this is locked to windows 10 ent) The software basically creates an eyefinity display and then chops things up to replicate exactly how our users would expect a dual screen config to work at their desk but from home, the software is called display fusion and it can do all manner of things, id bet it could replicate how macs handle multi desktop. Ill give it a bash and report back.
