windows 10 re download?

Hi all i got a windows logo on my taskbar when i click it says that i can get a free install of windows 10.
Is this genuine or a virus/scam on my machine?
It looks genuine but these people can get clever.

If this is real then is it recommended to go from windows 7 to 10?

Yes it's real, see the Windows 10 thread and yes I recommend upgrading from win 7.

its for people to reserve their copy of windows 10 when its released

it will download the W10 files on the 29th of July and then give you the option to upgrade to W10
