Windows 10 re-install query

Hi guys,

I originally installed Windows 7 Home Premium onto my PC, and later used a Windows 7 Pro Upgrade code to upgrade it to Windows 7 Professional. (way back in 2011, then upgraded later that year)

I then, recently, allowed the Windows 10 upgrade to install, meaning I now have Windows 10 Pro.

For certain reasons, I don't have my original Windows 7 Home Premium code, I only have my Windows 7 Pro upgrade code.

Anyway, my Windows 10 install is a bit screwed in a multitude of ways, and I need to do a fresh install.

Will I be able to use this code to re-install Windows 10 Pro, or am I screwed?

W10 will activate from your hardware ID once online.

install 10 using the usb tool and once its online it will activate. skip the stages where it asks for the key.

double check W10 is activated though before doing anything.

you would only need the W7 key if you had not already done the W10 upgrade.
