windows 10 update issue

I'm getting this exact error as well. Clean install of 8.1, all updates, use the Microsoft update tool from within windows to update, fails at installing drivers, 32%, blank screen, have to reboot, then same error codes, SYSPREP thing, tried 3 times now without luck. Tried deleting the folder as per instructions above, no luck.

Did you try uninstalling .net through the uninstaller? Or is it not installed.

sorted disabled .net and disabled everything including DVD

A re-install of default OS (with updates first + activation) then another upgrade to 10 (then activation and updates).

OK, so it installed this time, thanks for the .net tip, it's still being a pain though. It's not letting me install chipset drivers? Unknown error. I had to run DDU to get the NVidia drivers to work, what a massive pain this is turning into.
