Just tried upgrading from the microsoft download page yet get the following error...

"This PC can't run windows 10 - We couldn't update the system reserved partition"

Around 96gb free on the m2 ssd, what's the score here ?

Did you delete one of the little partitions that you used to be able to see in Win 10 Defrag/optimise window but are now hidden there, you can see 3 of them in Disk Management?

If your current install a Legacy or UEFI install?

Legacy or UEFI ?. Good question, installed 7 fresh from a disk years ago.

Partitions ?. Next question !, I used Macrium Reflect to copy this drive to a new one so wondering if that did something (now uninstalled). Disk management shows two volumes:
'C:' simple, basic, NTFS (boot, page file, crash dump, primary partition) 476Gb
'Data', simple, basic, NTFS, (system, active, primary partition) 100Mb

You should see 3 partitions in there and if UEFI you can see a forth partition if you use DiskPart or a 3rd party app.

Visit tenforums and see if there is a fix.

Either in the Tutorials or Forum, I bet its a common issue as I have deleted them in past and regretted later or even next restart which failed.

Some of the cloning/partitioning software claim to be able to fix these issue.
