So from what I gather, your Windows 10 install (if getting the free upgrade from W7/8) is tied to your current hardware.
What if you buy a new skylake cpu / MB / RAM setup, and try and plug in your W10 hard drive..?
When you "upgrade" to W10, do they give you a product key which you can use on any hardware setup, or not?
