I am looking at some premade systems and most of them are Win7 64 bit, i wonder will all my old games run on a 64 bit system.

I am talking about things like farcry, call of duty 2, doom 3 etc. I have loads of old games that I still want to play and i dont want to use emulation software or anything like that.

Thanks

Steve

Far Cry and Doom 3 do, I know for sure. TBH I have come across very few games which refuse point blank to work in 7 64, unless you count really old games. Put it this way I have Roll Cage and G-Police in my start menu, from '99 and '97 respectively

Ones that don't run, there is always a way ;)

the machine I am getting, or maybe getting should I say is from Dell and the copy is preloaded, they noramlly supply a disc but i would imagine they supply only 1 disc, does the disc normally carry both versions are you aware?

Thanks

Hi, If that is a win 7 system, then dell do not supply a disc, and the system is 64bit. The only disc you get is a drivers disc, I bought my disc at point where I ordered my 570 system from dell at a cost of £5. However, if you phone up dell support when you get your system, dell will send you a disc, but only a 64bit, as per your system. But, your system will have Dell Data Safe, that will allow you to make up a copy of your OS to 2 blank dvd's.
