I am having an annoying problem with IE8 and the back/forward/refresh buttons. They stop functioning after a short period of time and the only way to resolve is to reboot.

Now I know IE is not the best browser out there and I do use Firefox and Safari as well but I need to use IE as part of my job as a tester and support for a VLE. over 70% of our users use this browser so it is important I fix the issue.

Has anyone else found this with the RTM? Does anyone know of a solution? Please don't suggest another browser as I need to use IE!

Thanks in advance.

I use IE8 all the time, i personally find it a lot tidier in general than firefox, dunno why. Anyway i have never had this issue before. Do the hot keys stop functioning as well?

Have you tried resetting IE8 (and of course deleting all your history/cookies/temp/etc)?

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > "Reset"

Yes indeed, does not help :(. I guess its due to the number of tabs I have open and may well be fixed in an update in the future.
