Windows 7 boot prob

Hi

Have a small issue and hoping someone can point me in the right direction –

My inlaws have a new Acer laptop, which apparently they used once and now doesn’t load windows. I had a quick look yesterday and all that happens is that it comes to a screen giving two options – ‘start windows normally’ or ‘repair windows’. Whichever option you choose it simply takes you back to this screen. There’s no recovery CD, and it’s Windows 7 (basic version I assume).

Any ideas?

Have you got a Windows 7 disk you can boot from and try a startup repair or system restore? If not you can legally download a Windows 7 repair disk to do this with from here.

No I don't have a disk but will look into that link.
