I installed Windows 7 professional last week. After installing my games ect, i was playing a youtube video and i got the blue screen saying my pc had been shut down to prevent damage. then all the dump memory stuff at the bottom. I turned off and turned back on. I uninstalled all recent programmes and for a few days it was fine, running perfectly well and fast. Just a few hours ago it happened again whilst starting a game up. Will i have to reinstall windows or is there some hardware issue? Only happened twice over a week but its still obv a problem. Thanks!

in a command prompt type evntvwr and hit enter [or type Event Viewer in the search box].

Now you need to click on Windows Logs then System. Any crashes should have an error report in here. It will have a red ! symbol next to it.

Happened again and just have the Stop Error code. There was no .sys location thing or anything, just the stop error. How do i find out using that what the problem is?
