Windows 7 default install program

EDIT: Title should be path not program!

Hi all,

I'm trying to change my default install directory within Windows 7 from C:\Program Files to D:\Program Files.

I have gone to the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

I have changed both the ProgramFilesDir and ProgramFilesDir(x86) to the new default and rebooted.

When i'm now installing programs they are still defaulting to the C:\ drive!

Does anybody know if anything else needs changing or why this might be happening?

The keys might need to be edited in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion instead?..
