windows 7 drivers?

just checked on HP and nvid sites and none have drivers for my chipsets (6 series for home pc) am i looking to soon? do you think there will be some come release day?

Vista drivers should work as win 7 is basically built on vista

nVidia will have Windows 7 drivers already built in and the chances are that the HP drivers will be as well, you could probably install RC1 (7100) and have no problems at all. Windows 7 is very good at finding missing drivers, it's problem solver even links to the URL so you can get the correct one if it's missing from Windows Update. I've plugged in several random printers and it's always been able to get the drivers from Windows Update.

The only driver I was missing was for Microsoft's LifeCam VX-3000 of all things, they did release an updated driver within a week or so though.

when i installed win 7 on my HP laptop it found all the drivers i didn't need to install any including the nvidia drivers

Just installed Win 7 on my home PC, admittedly an upgrade but it either found everything or used the existing Vista drivers that were installed.

yeah your right it found everything, good to know, but where do we stand with drivers for example if nivida release driver would you then install them over the top?
