Windows 7 explorer refuses to open files in the same window

I've tried googling this to no avail, All the fixes seem to do nothing. And yes, I have the correct option ticked in folder options

Also ran Malware bytes and it found nothing, 'SFC /Scannow' also didn't do anything.

Anyone got any ideas?

First guess would be a registry/profile issue. A few fixes here might be worth a look.

It says Vista and seems to go from Explorer to IE and back again but there's a couple of reg things in there to check that sound like your issue.

Yeah, thought the same and tried every fix on the first page of google, Nothing worked and a couple broke it even further.

Just had to do a repair install, fixed it but was a pain.
