Hi all

Sorry if this has been asked many a time before. Just put it on my PC and it's quite handy. Thought I'd pop on and ask though, do these settings look correct?

Thanks! :)

Oh, link for those that don't have it and would like to try it out:-

I like the idea of it, but the website puts me off, bigtime :(

It really should have basic outgoing connections built in properly..

I tried it on W7 - it was OK but I ended up removing it and manually control the in built firewall (block outbound connections).

Is the free version of this Firewall Control a 3rd party firewall? Or is it just a nice front end for Windows Vista/7 built in firewall?

Would like to enable some outbound filtering, but when I tried manually configuring Vista firewall it ended up a broken mess. So a prompt with accept or deny would be nice, but I don't want to replace the Vista firewall with something like Comdo and another full replacement.

I think "Windows 7 Firewall Control" is a misnomer, if it's implementing it's own rules then it doesn't really make sense for it to leverage Windows Firewall.

Windows includes a filtering platform which the windows firewall uses, Windows 7 Firewall control uses this same filtering platform, as said before it's basically just a different front end for the built in filtering platform.
