Hi Dean
Have you definately installed the 32bit version and the 64 bit version on your computer. You have the remnants of the first re-install left on your boot sector.

Press Start button and type msconfig into the start bar and enter, in the application which appears choose the Boot Tab, highlight the Previous Version entry and delete, OK out and reboot - the extra entry should be gone.

I assume that it is the "previous version" entry is the one you want to remove but if not just choose the entry you don't want and delete that

If you feel that this is beyond your capabilities let us no i will link it to you how to do it

i will give it ago, i only put the 32 bit windows on yesterday and no other versions so if i do that will it wipe the 32 bit version off my computer and start aging with the 64 bit version ?

thanks for help mate

there is only 1 opperating system listed just windows 7 says current os default os
any other ideas please

is there no way to format hard drive and wipe it clean to start again ? dont think i can while its running in this pc though

You can just boot from the install disk and when it asks you which hard drive to install on, you can format the drive there.

what should i press though when it says choose an operation system to start or press tab to select a tool ? says at the top of this forum thats the problem not sure what to do thank dean

You're not meant to see that at all. Just change the boot order in the BIOS to boot from the disk drive. Then the normal installing procedures will follow. Unless you're already doing that but have a strange 64bit Windows disk...
