Hi guys,

As title really. I have an iMac with a Windows 7 installation but also a Mac OS one too. I use Windows for the majority of the time and would like to increase the partition size a bit more. I can't seem to do it at all and "Computer Management" in Windows 7 doesn't give me the option. Is this possible? If so, how do I go about doing this?

Many thanks!

Whappers.

Do you actually have any free space on the drive in question? ...and by free I mean unformatted.

I assume you are using bootcamp to do this?

If so I would imainge you need to incresae the size of the partition in OSX first.

If windows 7 does not see the change, you can use diskpart and expand, as I understand it you can not extend a system partition through the GUI you have to use the CLI

you should be able to expand the partition if there is unallocated space directly to the right of it in disk management.

Dont think win 7 can increase the size of the partition, only strink.

You'll need 3th party software

What software do you reccomend?

Well, Bootcamp doesn't appear to be giving me much in the way of options to be honest and unfortunately, using CLI is out of the question as I'm not that familiar with it at all. :(

I have tonnes of free space on Mac OS but none of it is unallocated unfortunately. It's a 1TB with a 50/50 split between Max OS and Windows 7. I kinda wish I hadn't listened to my friend when going through the installation! :(
