I also agree 100% with surveyor. No way on Earth should you post back one stick. It's a matched pair, send both back. They can't expect everyone who buys RAM to be able to do their own troubleshooting. Ridiculous.

However. In the meantime. You should test each stick seperately and then once you found the faulty module. Leave it out. Install Windows, setup everything the way you like it. Then it will be all ready for when you get your new modules returned to you.

Be sure to ask for a refund on the postage also, so your not out of pocket!

they have replied saying to return both sticks and i thought the exact same as you about the diagnostics

yep, i did this earlier, found the faulty one and used the good one to install windows - worked beautifully :)

Be sure to ask for a refund on the postage also, so your not out of pocket!
