Windows 7 Install issue, please read me!

When trying to install Windows 7 64bit, I have to eject the disc and close it again for the drive to read it.. it gets as far as copying the Windows files and then gives up.. any ideas?
 
i think you just have to be patient, if you are experiencing what I think you are then you just have to wait a while (you will probably be looking at a blue screen (not a bsod) without a helpful message like 'please wait...'), I don't know why it does this but my guess is that the files are being verified/unpacked within RAM which is why your system seems to have stopped.
 
I was doing this for a mate, after a few hours of messing about with it at mine he took his gear and went home. Got a phone call about an hour later to say he left it running, and guess what? It worked! He's now fully functional. What would cause this?
