Short story.
Installed fine first time but after updating the GFX drivers my screen blanks just before desktop loads. I formatted and tried again and this time I cannot complete the install because the screen blanks on the screen where I should put in the user and PC name. In this state I cannot go into safe mode because Windows has not finished installing and that is because of the name screen I cannot fill out because I cannot see it.
I've spent hours Googling and what I've found reported by other's is Windows 7 stops reading DVI signals or it gets confused if there are multiple monitors, so unplug 1 and if you have 1 monitor then switch port. None of this has worked for me.
I'm out of idea's on what to do, look's like I might have to go back to Vista unless anyone here knows a solution.
I don't have any hardware to chop and change either, best I have is connect using VGA but use a VGA > DVI converter to actually connect to my GFX card.
