How much drive space does Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit take up ?

thinking of buying a 30gb SSd to install it on make my comp a bit faster.

The minimum requirements for disk space to install Windows 7 64 Bit is 20GB but I think mine is around 10GB with Hibernation turned off.

Same as above, my 64Gb SSD has around 30Gb free after Windows 7 pro, LOTRO, 3 Steam games,itunes, office and some other random bits and bobs. If you have a second drive to hold steam etc then there's nothing stopping you getting one for Windows 7 + most apps.

30gb is doable, just turn off system restore and hibernation

I just reinstalled W7HP and it came it at 13.5GB or thereabouts

Windows 7 Space Requirement

Although the final install space will be less, around 15GB or so, you will need more for temporary files and also for updates.. Please let me know if this helps.
