I did use the search function (possibly not that well)

Does Windows 7 have internationalisation support out of the box.
Install the English version but be able to switch to the German/Japanese/Arabic etc version through some sort of option?

Similar to OSX which will let you purchase a version from anywhere on the planet and be able to run it in the language of your choice.

Or is this another Vista Ultimate only job and the need to download and install MUI, which is a bit poor in this day and age.

Have Home Premium on order and might possibly pick up Pro if needed.

When you install you get a choice of many languages to use, not sure if you can change that once installed though.

you can change to any of about 30 languages after it's been installed, but for some reason only if you spring for ultimate edition

It's probably of no interest to most but for technicians/notebook users who travel internationally the ease of switching languages would be invaluable. Language subsets shouldn't really be a premium addition due to the internationalisation of the world in general. I'm surprised this hasn't been raised in the US with it's diverse culture .. at least around the coastal areas.

Can only hope something like this is available for W7 as it is for Vista http://www.froggie.sk/index.html
Get's around the single MUI problem on Vista

edit.. seems that Vistalizator works on W7, at least on some of the builds.
