i just installed windows 7 ultimate on my pc, the latest rc. as soon as i login in i can browse the web for around 30 seconds, then it just cuts off, i go to network settings everything is fine, ipconfig everything is fine, but it will not ping or connect to websites, windows update does not run either.

it cannot be driver related as it works for the first 30 seconds, anyone got an ideas on how to fix this.

try disabling the network adaptor and enabling it again, when i boot up win7 it seems to think its connected to two networks on the same adaptor, pretty weird.

yh just standered windows stuff, without being able to connect to the network for more than 30 seconds i havn't had the chance to download anything

Despite you saying it cannot be driver related Id imagine it is if it's been working fine before Win7. What card is it?

I swear I've had this before when I updated my realtek driver from the Windows Update recommended updates.

Had to roll the driver back to sort it.

but it works for the first 30 seconds, i can browse through any website, but then it just goes.

just a via rhine II fast ethenet adapter thing, its on a machine that i dont use much lol

I had same problem are you using a wireless adapter? mine was corrupt and gave same issues now i plug straight into modem, and problem fixed.

I had this problem on my brothers computer, and it turned out that all I had to do to get it working was to disable all of the network adapters, reboot and then re-enable, restart, problem solved.

Came across a similar problem this week with another machine. What network adapter do you have?
