Hi looking to buy windows 7, the description reads:

Windows 7 pro OEM with service pack 1 plus coa license product key dell disk.

Its £36

Does this sound ok? And will it work just like normal? I don't know a lot when it comes to operating systems but dont fancy paying around £75 for it.

Apparently its from an old system which has been decommissioned, I thought it sounded a bit strange. There are hundreds of people selling it at around this price with similar descriptions, and have had hundreds of sales.

Its not allowed though as the COA sticker needs to be moved from old to new machine and thats a big no no with intel. Yes it will work but its not technically legal and licensed properly.
part the reason the went to code hardcoded in bios in windows 8..but then then thats extractable and transferable with basic tools as long as you do it before the motherbord dies :)

Plus you dont know if he has sold on same code again to maximise profit,,,,then m$ catch up with it and block you :(

As soon as you see OEM and Dell in the same sentence ... forget it

buy a full retail copy or go here

and buy this... OEM has some problems if you .... em .........transfer it to a newer rig or more commonly change hardware.. MB for example... but you can get round those as well.... plenty of advice here in the forums on "how to"

It's far less hassle

:)
