Windows 7 key query...

Hi Guys,

I bought a full retail copy of Windows 7 Ultimate for use on my current rig but am picking up an OS free laptop next month, I need to know if I can use my key on another machine or do I need to purchase another?

You can use it on another machine. The EULA states that is should only be installed on one computer at a time, but there is nothing to physically stop you installing it all over the place.

No, they shouldn't do at all.
They can 't block keys anyway, unless they are a blacklisted pirate key.

That's why you pay more for FPP (full packaged product), i.e retail box.
OEM licences are much cheaper but have to live and die on the computer they are first installed on.

You can use it on another machine but only one machine at a time.

I have found that even with retail keys, they still need telepone activation.

I think i've phoned that 0800 number more times that i have phoned my mother.
