I have played a bit with Windows 7 in the past. Installed build 7100 and 7600 on a PC at work and it all run with no problems.

I decided to install the RTM(7600) 64-bit version of Windows 7 on my home PC and at first everything was fine. Then internet explorer wouldn't launch. I could see the processes in task manager but the damn program wouldn't start. In addition l get no sound from my Xonar Essence STX. No problems in windows but for some reason no sound is heard :(

I hate this since it all worked nicely at work. Anyone getting similar problems with the 64-bit version of Windows 7 on their machines?

I guess you could try reinstalling the drivers / software for it?

The internet explorer problem sounds like a plugin - you can try and run it from the command line iexplore -noaddons (iirc) and see if that works then you just need to disable each addon until you find the one it is.

Installed Windows 7 twice. Only plug-in i downloaded was flash player. The 64-bit version of IE launches correctly but there is not flash available yet.
