Microsoft must be really plugging this new version of Windows 7.

Home premium edition can now be had for £44.97

A lot of us have already pre-ordered it at that price. The main etailers seem to be selling it at ~£65.

I saw that pop up last night...Ultimate's not quite such a steal though

Thing is it's not such great shakes from Vista I think MS would prefer to have everyone running Win7 rather than have to support two releases. Does this mean they can now scrap support for XP? Forcing those companies that didn't take VISTA to take Windows 7?

That to me would be where the big bucks lie. Imagine large companies being told that support is stopping !

They already announced the dates for the end of XP support, they announced those a long time ago.
