Hey everyone,
Just wondering what has changed between the RC and RTM?
I've googled it but all I can find is articles from before the RTM was released.

When it was cheap? When was that?

Windows 7 was quite heavily discounted from around the middle of July, which was around 3 months before General Availability, up and till not so long ago.

Also, can I use a Upgrade copy to upgrade my RC installation?

I'm afraid not. To qualify for an Upgrade license of Windows 7, you need to have a legitimate copy of an OEM or Retail license of either Windows XP or Windows Vista. Though, once you have installed Windows 7, you will not be able to use the version of Windows that you used as the qualifying product. Also, depending on weather you upgraded to Windows 7 from an OEM or a Retail license of Windows XP / Windows Vista, those same licensing restrictions would then apply to Windows 7 as well.

I hear mastercard works too these days, as long as your credit limit supports the now stupid price of Windows 7 ;)

I'm still on the RC at home through sheer bone idleness. I use the RTM at work and can't say I've noticed any difference - if anything the RTM gives me more trouble on this particular laptop.

I'm still on build 7100, buggy as hell (well not THAT buggy, but things are coming undone at the seams).

Got a windows disc next to me (bought el cheapo) but I have got just under 1tb of stuff on the HDD and can't be arsed to move it all off.

come on homer, it wont take that long :D

I managed to get around it as I got a student copy of it. I formatted my drives before hand, and went for the clean install method. Worked just a treat for me.
