Windows 7 student

Also MSDN AA has 4 copies of Windows 7 available. 32 and 64 bit, with and without SP1. The 32bit key will activate a 64bit install, so you really have 4 free Windows 7 Professional 64bit licenses.

Huh? When I was getting my free copy it says I was only allowed to pick one of the four! It wouldn't let me pick any of the other Window 7s once I grabbed my 64 bit SP1 copy! However I was still able to grab a copy of Vista, XP, and Server 2008 R2, as well as some other Window OSes (DOS anyone? :p).

Check out the MSDNAA, if your university has signed up for it, you can get a free OEM copy of Windows Professional. But last time I checked it's only if the course you're doing is under the faculty of computing. This may be different for other universities, but this seems to be the case for my university and a few other friends in other universities.

I have MSDNAA too. It's not an OEM copy, it acts like a retail.
