windows 7 system image help?

hi

ive created a system image and repair disc under windows 7 backup.

the image is stored on my external hardrive , but what i would like to know is if i create another system image backup will it overwrite the old one?

Not at default - depending on space available. It will store three or so, depending on how large the external drive is. When it runs out of room it starts over-writing the old ones. The settings for this are in the Control Panel-Backup.

tryed looking for the settings under backup but could not find anything?

by the way i have not set up a backup ,i just created a image backup from the left side of the menu.

If you want to keep multiple complete system/partition images I would suggest looking at something like Acronis True Image. It does incremental images and works well. Everytime I power down my PC all applicable partitions have incremental backups taken.

i only want the one image not to bothered about having loads, thats why i would to find out if it overwrites?
