Randomly seems to have started, when it gets to the Windows logo that remains on screen for about 30 seconds before it goes to the choose user login page.

Also (probablly related) when I choose my username and the processes start up - I get a small command prompt window open up for a bout 1 second. There is nothing I can see in the window itself but the top of it says something like c:\users*******cmd.exe.

Other than that my system seems to run as normal.

I have run :

CC Cleaner
Malwarebytes
Spybot Search and Destroy
Auslogics Defrag

None of which have made a difference. Can anyone shed some light please? Not a lot to go on, I know.

HI Leviathon. Sorry to hear about your PC problems.

If you get sorted then do let us know your findings. Im due to start my MS Windows 7 config studies soon and would like to document as many problems/scenarios and outcomes as possible.

Mine gets to the password page fine, but takes at least 30 seconds to get to my homescreen. Just a pc thing, they get old and slow.

Even when just installed mine does this Only windows7, office, AV and a few apps. First boot of the day takes over a minute. Subsequent boots take 20 seconds. Blasted Windows !!!!
