Hey guys, could anyone tell me how I can get the windows/toolbar at the bottom of the screen to go see through? Somehow it did it itself when I came back to my computer after it went on standby. But after I've restarted it seems to have gone back to normal? Anyone know how to do this?
Cheers :)

Thanks I'm into the window colour bit but can't figure out how to get them to go transparent? How do you mean set all sliders to zero? Sorry I'm probably being really dumb.

hhhhmmm, i found the problem and windows says that my current drivers don't support the aero feature? Anyone had this problem?

Well I seem to of solved the problem, and haven't at the same time. For some reason whenever Windows restarts I lose the ability to use Aero/ can't see any of the transparencey features? Has anyone else had this problem? Im not really sure what to do. hhhmmm

The Card I'm using is Asus ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5, and I've got the latest drivers available. I just booted up today and its lost aero again! I might try and use an older driver to see if this helps?
I just tried doing the "Rate this computer" in my Windows Experience Index and it came up with the error "Could not measure video playback performance." Does anyone know what I could do about this?

Yeah I've had some strange hanging problems whilst using various programs not always video related, but a loud buzz would come from my system and it would either reboot or just stay frozen with this constant sound. Since I installed windows 7 I haven't had that problem yet but I'm guessing it could crop up.
OI managed to get the Windows Indexing done and my

Processor 7.3
Memory 7.5
graphics got a 6.0
Gaming Graphics 6.0
Primary Hard disk 5.9

I don't know if these are good scores but It still won't let me do aero. There is also a strange effect on the videos which I play where their almost in a blurred type of grid.
Do you think this maybe some kind of conflict problem with my gpu? Thanks for the replies/ help.

I still can't get the aero function to work. It seems every time after I reboot, something gets reset, as my PowerDVD keeps asking me to register and my explorer never opens in the place.
Has anyone got any Ideas?

I am having a similar problem, Aero seems to work fine most of the time, then it just randomly turns off.

I have tried 5 different versions of the drivers and the results are exactly the same, the card is a ATI Radeon 4850 512Mb if that makes any difference.

The only way to get it on again is to run the windows experience thingamajig again.
