Am running windows 7 home premium 64 bit (oem) and have bought Ultimate 32/64 bit retail.

Am intending to change motherboard (p67 to z68) shortly and will look to instal ultimate then.

Query relates to the fact that I am running a ocz vertex3 128gb as windows + drive and I have a secondary 256gb plextor as main storage(games including steam).

Will format and install 64bit ultimate to the ocz - and the ? is will it see the games etc on the plextor drive or will I have to re-download everything?

Sorry if this a bit of a newb ? - I do not tend to install an operating system that often :)

Thanks in advance

The drive will just work, along with the steam games. However any other games theres a high chance that they wont work as they'll have registry keys that wont transfer across.

Prior to formatting your OS drive, run something like GameSave Manager to grab any savegames, GFWL profiles etc, that may be residing on your OS partition. Also check for any games which have activation limits, and be sure to uninstall prior to formatting to ensure you get your activation back!

The actual Steam stuff itself is fine, just run steam.exe when you've reinstalled, and when you first run the games they will "install" themselves again.
