Windows 7 Update fail

Hi ,

Hoping someone can help me out with my Windows 7 Update problem.

Whenever i start my PC up it starts updating windows, stops at 15% then restarts my PC.

Anyone any ideas on a possible fix?

Not sure, but I've had the same thing on W8, It was always a 'secruity fix for x64 systems' or something, just ended up hiding it in windows update as it was the only thing on the list

It claims i have 22 important updates to have installed, but it never installs them

Was the install a download assistant one?

I've had this issue and it turned out that windows update was corrupted.

Bad disc image got the blame. Made a new disc and problem went away.
