Hi guys

I recently updated windows 7 and now every time I restart the pc it comes up with configuring/installing updates 0% complete prompt and that stays on for atleast 5 mins before loading windows. It doesn't seem to have installed the updates either cause it tries to install them every time the pc shuts down.

It seems to be stuck in a loop. Has anyone come across this before?

What the solution?

Cheers

Yep mine is doing the same tonight with the 3 new updates downloaded/released yesterday. I'm now trying to install them one at a time.

Try this,

Let the install boot fail. Then go to install manager and one at a time install the updates. Once they are all installed then select reboot. That seems to have worked for me.

I had the same problem and found the same fix.

However, now everytime I try to run a game I've installed from disc I get 'Compatibility Errors'... even when I run in compatibility mode.

Tried looking on the helpful links it comes up with but the only thing it suggests is uninstalling 'Windows live onelive' or something, but I don't have it installed anyway.

Is anyone else finding this?
I tried installing macromedia but I don't think it worked, kind of getting frustrated, I've never been good at PC stuff -_-

I'm a bit of a Win7 newbie, does anyone know any suggestions?
