Windows 7 Upgrade Voucher

Do you have to use the Windows 7 Upgrade Voucher with the copy of vista or can you use the upgrade with another computer with XP?

It is my understanding that it will only be licensed on the PC that the copy of Vista with the voucher is installed on.

Unless there's something unique about the serial, which means it insists on seeing Vista, I'd reckon it should work fine from XP. No way of knowing without trying though

Yes it will work (more than likely) but you will not be license legal.

I cant remember or link for that matter. But one site I looked at for a laptop for the wife. Was charging you for the free upgrade (think it was something like £15) to cover costs.
