windows 7 will not reognise my external HDD

Hi all

my laptop running windows 7 WILL run the external drive, however my media centre running windows 7 WILL NOT run the HDD

any thoughts why this might be? it is showingin the device maanger which is strange!?

Chances are it just isn't assigning a drive letter.

If it's showing in Device Manager, is it listed in Disk Management?

Run disk manager see if you can enable it and assign a drive letter in there.
